When does this uninstall occur - Immediately after instal? after usage, are you clicking on the install package again?
Try a redownload, install and run of latest Simlink

and after install pass 20 minutes and unistall.
I donât understand how the program uninstalls itself without your interaction.
Try disabling your antivirus and firewall as a test.

I have got trojan warnings and have kaspersky terminate a running simlink. vers 36.1011 âmalicious object detectedâ. is this the problem?

i am confused though. i never had to have simlink running in msfs 2020 before? only for p3d, and that was a year ago. does msfs 2020 not comm with navigraph internally? via simconnect?
Kaspersky is giving a false positive. You need to set Kaspersky to permit Simlink.
Simlink is needed to interact with SimConnect, even if it doesnât install a plugin into MSFS.

Why is Kaspersky now seeing this version as a threat, a false positive, when previous versions run fine?
I created both an exclusion and added Simlink to the Trusted Apps - now it wonât even launch automatically saying that I have to manually launch it (I have no idea how).
AV providers regularly change their detection algorithms - and these can produce false positives.
I suggest you disable antivirus and firewall, uninstall, redownload and install the latest Simlink

I appreciate that the AV providers change their algorithms, but whatever algorithm Kaspersky is currently using itâs happy with 1.1.34.2901, but flags 1.1.36.1011 as being a Trojan (Kaspersky will be using the same algorithm on both versions - so whatâs so different about 1.1.36.1011?)
Installing 1.1.36.1011 isnât a problem, it installs fine, but then having an âexclusionâ and âtrustâ with Kaspersky stops Simlink from launching when Xplane launches (a pop up message about launching it manually comes up), and doing nothing with Kaspersky causes Simlink 1.1.36.1011 to just get deleted after itâs been running for 10-15 mins (while running Xplane and Navigraph Telemetry etc).
Iâve followed the advice, but with no luck.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment.

Submitting our EXE to Kaspersky TIP yields no detections. Could you somehow elaborate on what the detection looks like? Can you see precisely what file it is suspecting?

You download the file, run it and install it without any major problem, enter the simulator, exit it and a pop-up from Kaspersky appears announcing that it will uninstall the software because it found a malicious Trojan. Unfortunately, I am unable to gain anything from it. We have manually submitted our executable to Malwarebytes, and there were no issues with it which makes it harder for us to get rid of the false positive. Weâll keep looking into it!
