SimLink stuck on user authentication

Simulator Version

MSFS 2024

Operating System

Windows 11

Description of the Issue

For some days now, SimLink on my primary PC does not connect to the navigraph servers anymore (autostart is enabled.)

Situation: Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024, Navigraph Umlimited Subscription active, SimLink latest release installed, No Proxy, No VPN. No additional AV except built-in Defender.

Simlink is starting, asking for ‘Sign In’. After pressing ‘Sign In’ it stays in the ‘Please wait for user authentication’ loop forever. I do not get the browser opening for identity authentication.

I have read the posts on similar issues reported here and I already tried the following

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled latest release from ‘Download’ site
  • Removed SimLink device entries from Account site
  • Removed ‘Navigraph’ folder from %appdata%
  • Checked Firefox application mapping
  • Checked firewall exceptions (SimLink is allowed on ‘Privat’ and ‘Public’ networks)
  • Disabled firewall
  • Checked and initiated time synchronization
  • Restarted PC multiple times
  • Restarted Modem/Router

Logins to Navigraph website, charts, simbrief are all OK. On my second PC on the same network, SimLink is working fine.

Now, i’m stuck too…

What else can I check/do?

Firstly, check if rebooting your router and PC helps, the router being the most important of the two.

As mentioned above, already tried.

As SimLink is working fine on my second PC, but not on my primary, I checked for differences in systems settings.

I found that on the primary PC I had ‘IPv6’ protocol enabled on the Ethernet adapter.

After disabling ‘IPv6’ protocol, SimLink was able to connect to the navigraph identity server, the browser opened for authentication and SimLink is now signed in.

This solution might be of interest to other users. Just check your ethernet adapter properties.
