Simlink not found P3Dv4.5 In P3Dv5.1 everything OK

Hi,

On my SSD E:\ Version v4.5 and v5.1 are installed and run alongside each other without any problem.
Simlink version 1.1.21.0329 is installed and runs OK in P3Dv5.1.
In v4.5 however Simlink cannot be found according to the log.
I’ve tried everything I have houd here on the forum, but no succes.
The log for V5.1 states:

[2021-03-30 01:58:29] Status: 2 (Unable to find Navigraph Simlink).
[2021-03-30 01:58:29] Status: 2 (Unable to find Navigraph Simlink).
[2021-03-30 01:58:30] Status: 2 (Unable to find Navigraph Simlink).
[2021-03-30 01:58:30] Status: 2 (Unable to find Navigraph Simlink).
…
[2021-03-30 02:01:54] Status: 2 (Unable to find Navigraph Simlink).
[2021-03-30 02:02:25] Navigraph Simlink Addon (v.1.0.19.1219) for P3D (x64) has unloaded.

In both logs the version of Simlink Addon (v.1.0.19.1219) differs from the version in the Simlink Status screen Simlink version 1.1.21.0329.

This problem occurs several weeks now and in the meantime the latest version of Simlink has been installed.

Can you please advise?

Hi,

What if you press these two buttons to Uninstall the plugin for both v4 and v5, and then immediately press Install again for each?

Hi,

For issue which you have with Simlink, can you please follow below troubleshooting points,

  1. Make sure Simlink plugin was install correctly,
    a. Close all running Simulator (P3D, X-Plane)
    b. Open Simlink Plugin Setting window
    c. Click on Uninstall Simlink button for P3D listed Simulator.
    d. Now Install again by click on Install Simlink button for PD listed Simulator.
    e. Close Simlink.
    f. Start P3D Simulator
    g. Check Simlink is run automatically or not?
    h. If Simlink run automatically then you configure Simlink Plugin correctly.

And for more information can you pleas let us know that when you start X-Plane then is it work with Simlink or not?

Hi Stephen,

Did what you suggested. (I did this before already more than 10 times, but done as you told me)

Nothing changed.

P3Dv4.5 Simlink not found

P3Dv5.1 OK
[2021-03-30 05:52:08] Status: 0; Last error: 183

Folder stucture for addons is the same in v4.5 and v.5.1
DLL in both folders is the same.

None of the suggestions provided did make any difference, so I had to sort it out myself.
With success.

To my opinion the installer in Simlink makes a mess of it.
I checked mij PC and the NavigraphSimlink_64.dll is found in many different foldrs.
Can somone point out where the NavigraphSimlink_64.dll has to be, having P3Dv4.5 and V5.1 on my system.
With this information I can cleanup my PC and get rid of the NavigraphSimlink_64.dll in the folders where it is not supposed to be.
For now I renamed NavigraphSimlink_64.dll in the main P3Dv4.5 folder and Simlink is found and data is retrieved.
