Simlink need help and support

I am an active subscriber and have been for years and have been using FS 2024 for a year. Suddenly my charts say they cannot connect with simlink. I uninstalled both charts and simlink and reinstalled them to no avail. I also restarted my pc several times. I’ve not had this problem in several months. Is something going on?

I have same issue right now. I done one flight without any problem but now simlink cannot detect flight sim.

From the Simlink Status page, please let us know the Simlink version, and when the problem started to happen.

I suggest you try a complete Simlink install :

  • See FAQ - Simlink Install and Systray

  • Please use the Windows Programs and Features to uninstall Simlink:

  • If they exist, delete directories
    c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Navigraph\Simlink and
    c:\Program Files\Navigraph\Simlink.

  • Then, download and install the latest Simlink.

  • Restart computer

If still a problem, please send us Simlink logs, which are located in the %APPDATA%/Navigraph/Simlink/logs folder.

Also, please post screenshots of any error messages using Guide to posting Screenshots

Interestingly, it works if I load a flight and then restart it. Curious.

I did that, and interestingly, if I load a flight, and then restart it the simlink works. That is curious.

Please ensure that your system has a stable internet connection while running the Simlink application. Additionally, make sure to log-in to the Simlink application with your Navigraph credentials.

That’s interesting since I have a stable ultra fast network system of 1GB.
So, how would I confirm the Simlink connection is stable, as you describe it?

Please check your firewall or other antivirus software that may block the Simlink application from accessing the network.

I am now having problems connecting to Simlink after years of trouble free usage.

I have tried re-installing and following all the steps previously mentioned.

My Navigraph logon to Simbrief is still working fine.

Simlink asks me to sign in to Navigraph but nothing happens when I click the button. There is a “Please wait for user authentication” box but nothing progresses.

Tis a real pain! Help please

Welcome to the Navigraph forum!

From the log details, it appears that Simlink is being blocked from accessing our Navigraph server. To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:

  1. If you are using a VPN or proxy settings, please disable them and try logging into the Simlink application again.
  2. Check your internet settings to ensure they aren’t blocking the Simlink application from accessing the Navigraph servers.
  3. Allow the Simlink application to access the network through Windows Defender or your antivirus software.
  4. Make sure that Simlink is permitted to access both public and private networks in the Windows Firewall settings.
  5. If you’re still experiencing issues, please try restarting your internet router and check again.

Hi Vishal,

Same problem again today but this time when I restarted the router I was able to log into Simlink! Hopefully everything will stay like this.

Yesterday I flew a flight in the Aerostar 600. Whilst I was unable to track flight in Navigraph the in cockpit map was tracking my flight correctly. Doesn’t this use Simlink?

We are happy to know that your issue has been resolved.

Yesterday, Simlink was not logged in with your Navigraph account, which prevented it from broadcasting data to our server. However, you can now use the moving map with Simlink running in the background.
