Hi all,
Not a huge issue, but I’ve just updated Simlink and I’ve noticed I now have two shortcuts in my Start Menu. The two shortcuts are located in two different folders:
- C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
- %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
I tried uninstalling the program, but the shortcut in %appdata% is left behind. If I delete it manually, both shortcuts reappear when I reinstall the program.
Hi,
That was the old Simlink icon. You can delete all shortcuts, and Simlink will automatically create the shortcut icon again.
Please let us know if you still see two shortcut icons.

Okay, I just deleted both, and started Simlink from its installation folder and it recreated only one shortcut (the one in %appdata%).
However, when I install Simlink fresh (using the installer downloaded today), it seems to put both shortcuts in place.
Hi,
One icone is from Start->Apps->Navigraph->SImlink and one is from Start->apps location.

No,
The shortcuts on my PC as stated are located in:
- C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
- %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
There is no subfolder for Simlink anywhere.
If I uninstall the program completely and reinstall, the installer is creating a shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. When I launch Simlink, it is automatically creating another shortcut in %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
I should also mention that this automatically generated shortcut gets left behind when you uninstall Simlink.
Hi,
Noted, we will check it and fix it.
