Simlink causing stutters - X-Plane

Anyone else having issues with stutters with Simlink and X-Plane ?

I noticed this for 3-4 days ago. And when I was troubleshoothing this I noticed Simlink was the reason for the lag spikes.

Please ensure you have the latest Simlink downloaded and installed.

Cheers
Ian

Hello.
I have latest version installed. I even reinstalled it, but still the same issue.

And im discussing the same issue on discord with two others that also have lag spike. But still waiting for confirmation that it help when removing simlink.

Hello,

Thank you for providing the details regarding the issue. Please check the following points to help resolve the problem:

  1. Reinstall the Simlink plugins in X-Plane and test again.
  2. Navigate to the X-Plane plugins folder at <X-Plane>\Resources\plugins. Ensure that there is a file named NavigraphSimlink_64.XPL. If you find any other Simlink files, please remove them.
  3. If the issue persists, please send us the Simlink log files, which can be found in the %APPDATA%/Navigraph/Simlink/logs folder.
  4. Additionally, please provide your system configuration and the version of Windows OS you are using.

Thank you!

Hello.

  • I have reinstalled it. That dident help sadly.
  • There is only one NavigraphSimlink_64.xpl file in the plugins folder. No other Simlink plugins.
  • All attach the simlink-logs.
  • Latest X-Plane 12 running on
  • Windows 11 24H2. Ill add my x-plane logfile, ill guess you get the most information there.

x-plane-Log.zip (30.7 KB)

@vishalahir I’m having the same stutters in MSFS2024. Typically as soon as turn off the Moving Map & Own Ship it gets better, but I’ll occasionally close the Charts program completely. I have the latest simlink version installed.

Hello @Pete165 ,

Please send us Simlink log files which are located at %APPDATA%/Navigraph/Simlink/logs folder.

Thank you!

Any news on this topic? I had to uninstall and stop use this service due to the major stuttering on XP and MSFS.

Hello,

Please send us your system configurations. Unfortunately, we did not see any spikes on the Navigraph Simlink plugin for X-Plane. I believe there may be an issue with the OS configuration.

Thank you!

This is not an issue with XP only.. this is an issue with XP, MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 also… SimLink is a major issue. What do you mean about system configuration?

Hello,

Please send your hardware configuration.

Thank you!

I have
9950x3d
Nvidia 5090
64GB RAM
Windows 11 full update.

I did not have this on my previous setup that I noticed.
My old hardware was:
AMD 5900
3080ti
32GB RAM

I also tried to reinsall a old version of simlink on my new setup, and the issue was still the same.

My new setup is a clean install with Windows 11 Enterprise. Fully updated.
Using Windows Defender as anitvirus with exception of my x-plane folder.

But something sus is going on with Navigraph.
Everytime I close Navigraph FMS Data Manger it leaves a process behind that are using alot of CPU.

Here I have started and closed FMS data manger 3 times.

Hello,

Please add Simlink and FMS Data Manager as allowed apps in Windows Defender and Firewall.

After adding, please check them again.

Thank you!
