Simbrief SID preference at EHAM

Hi Simbrief team

With recent AIRAC updates, some SIDs have changed at EHAM.
Some SIDs out of runway 24 now have RF legs programmed in them. These are the preferred SIDs and have “S” as a suffix. When the aircraft is unable to fly RF based SIDs, the “Q” SIDs are assigned (RNAV 1). It seems that the “Q” SIDs are assigned randomly, whereas it should be based on equipment. Is Simbrief capable of translating the aircraft equipment and based on that select the appropriate SID? If not, I would like to request the “S” SIDs to be assigned as default.

Second question is about assigned night SIDs. Out of runway 36L, flights departing between 22:30 and 06:00 Dutch local time should be assigned the “Z” SIDs as default. Outside of these hours the “V” SIDs should be assigned as default. Is Simbrief capable of applying time-based restrictions on SID selection? If not, I would like to request the “V” SIDs to be assigned a default.

While I am not 100% sure, this is probably something that can be manually implemented by @SimBrief when he has time to do so.

Hi, thanks, we have implemented the following:

  • For runway 24, “S” SIDs are now assigned by default. Currently it isn’t possible to assign SIDs based on aircraft RF capability.
  • For runway 36L, “Z” SIDs are assigned between 22:30 and 06:00L, otherwise “V” SIDs are assigned.
