SimBrief Flight Plan import issues

Same for me. Routes are marked valid in Simbrief. Import does not work when 2603 is installed, neither using a downloaded PLN file nor using Simbrief dispatch EFB app. As soon as 2603 is uninstalled and the default navdata of MSFS 204 is used, the import works without issues. There must be something off in the 2603 airac files that makes MSFS 2024 react this way.

Have you tried with 2603 - rev2 ?

Yes of course. This was the first thing I tested when I saw that there is a new revision. Sorry should have mentioned it in my comment. And no, rev 2 does NOT solve the problem.

And as an example that does not work: generate a flight plan from ETNW to EDFH and let Simbrief auto route. This is the test case I have, which is 100% reproducable for me.

Edit: this is the Simbrief flight plan:

Edit 2: this is what MSFS makes out of it after using Simbrief dispatch EFB app to import it (only with 2603 rev 2 active):

Everything after the SID is missing completely. As said, this only happens with 2603 rev 2 installed. Without having it installed the flight plan is there, but of course with missing waypoints.

Please can you post the whole flightplan (in text format) so that I can try to reproduce it? Further, do you have any 3rd-party scenery installed on your system? When yes, which one …

Thank you,
Richard

I gues you want to have this: ROUTING:
ROUTE ID: DEFRTE
ETNW/08 ROBEG1A ROBEG N850 OHMAR Z658 EMGOD EMGOD4K EDFH/03

If not you’ll find the whole OFP generated by Simbrief in the PDF, as I think it is not appropriate to copy-paste a whole OFP here :wink:

ETNWEDFH_PDF_1774193225.7a11d225.pdf (531.4 KB)

I tested it with and without an addon scenery for ETNW. In both cases the behaviour is the same. As soon as Airac 2603 rev 2 is uninstalled, it seems to work, but I guess I have missing waypoints then.

Edit: this is the scenery for ETNW I used: ETNW - Fliegerhorst Wunstorf (Wunstorf Air Force Base) - MSFS Add-on - Flightsim.to
But as said, it does not matter if the scenery is active or not, in both cases the same behaviour.

Have tried to import it, but it seems I have all waypoints:

I generated your route string in SimBrief and loaded it into the MSFS2024 EFB, and this is what I get.

Here, the generate PLN file:
ETNWEDFH_M24_22Mar26.pln (3.9 KB)

Richard

Just loaded your PLN, this is what I get with Airac 2603 active:

Strange. Let me check if something else in my community folder might cause that issue. I’ll report back in a few minutes…

I´m currently downloading the 3rd-party scenery to check compatibility…

I would recommend a quick test:
Move all packages from your community folder, excluding navigraph-packages, into another subfolder outside the community folder. Start the sim again and try it again, please.

Cheers,
Richard

This is exactly what I’m testing right now :slight_smile:

Ok, you should not use the 3rd party scenery because this scenery is not fully 2024 compatible. The package_order_hint attribute is empty. This attribute controls the loading orders of the different packages and are required since SU3.

Here from the SDK:

{
  "dependencies": [],
  "content_type": "SCENERY",
  "title": "Wunstorf ETNW 24 Fix",
  "manufacturer": "",
  "creator": "M.Neelen",

No, does not work even with empty community folder. This is what I get

Could the City update yesterday have an impact?

Very unlikely, I also have installed it …

Could you try to delete the content.xml file please? After that restart the sim again … The file will be recreated automatically.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi…,

I have moved this thread so the orginal posters thread is not lost.

Please reply to Rich’s suggestion above, so we can resolve and close this issue.

Cheers
