Hi,
when I try to download historical weather data directly in simbrief via Active Sky FS (msfs), I always get an ERROR: Could not verify Active Sky weather download.
There is a workaround (download snapshot first, upload it to simbrief) but I find that to be quite inconvenient.
ActiveSky devs say that this is yours to fix. Is there any chance you can take a look at this?
Thanks!
Hi, this should be fixed in the new SimBrief Downloader version 1.8.0.
Let me know if it works properly for you now!

This indicates that your current_wx_snapshot.txt
file is not being updated by Active Sky, so either Active Sky is failing to download weather, or your SimBrief Downloader settings are incorrect.
What version of Active Sky are you running? What weather date (departure time) are you trying to upload?
Active Sky has reported that certain weather dates (between August 19-25) got corrupted and will fail to download, there is no workaround to restore these dates apparently: Problem with downloading historical weather for a specific date and time | HiFi Simulation Technologies Forums
Otherwise, please watch the Active Sky window when you are trying to upload weather and take note of what the “Activity” indictor at the top-left is showing during the upload.
When you upload Active Sky weather through SimBrief, your Active Sky “WX mode” should automatically change to “Custom static mode” for a few seconds, followed by “Historic dynamic mode”. Then the “Activity” line should show “Downloading” or “Processing” for up to 2 minutes. Once it changes to “Idle”, SimBrief should begin exporting winds.
Is the Active Sky activity getting stuck at any of these phases, if so which one?
For troubleshooting, browse to the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\HiFi\AS***\Weather
directory and check if there is a file named current_wx_snapshot.txt
in there.
Have you customized the “Active Sky Snapshot” or “Active Sky IP/Port” options in the SimBrief Downloader?
If so, try unchecking (disabling) these settings.
Best regards,
