Simbrief Downloader not authenticating

My simbrief downloader stopped authenticating recently. It was working normally before.

I reinstalled the program after deleting the cache in my temp folder.

I use Firefox as browser but I have also tried Chrome and edge all as default browser.

When it opens the webpage I login with my account, the webpage says I am authenticated and the downloader app starts loading but than goes back to authenticating with the loading circle, or sometimes even a unable to connect to the server.

I also tried installing it on my second PC with the same issues.

I was expecting more posts about this but it seems I am the only one experiencing this.

What could be the issue here?

Thanks in advance!

To check your internet connection, try connecting via a hotspot on your mobile phone.

Also, try resetting your Router.

Thanks for your response!

I can’t test on a mobile network but i did reset my router fully and it did not work.
I also noticed it takes me a whopping 27 minutes to download the simbrief downloader from the website. I remember this to be normal speed in the past.
My internet connection is fine for everything else. About two weeks ago the downloader stopped working.

I am clueless.

Hello, was just wondering if you found a solution to this problem? I am encountering the same issue today with no luck in fixing it

Hi…,

Welcome.

This is typically an issue in connecting your computer to the SimBrief server via the many links involved.

We suggest you try a different internet connection, such as a mobile hotspot. Also, you can restart your router.

Hi Ian, yes your suggestions worked! I created a mobile hotspot using my phone to get simbrief downloader to verify my Navigraph account. Then I needed to reset my router which fixed the second issue of simbrief downloader not communicating with the Navigraph server, so I was able to download my flightplans to the sim. All of this fixed the more critical issue of my airliners working properly in MSFS2020. **Side note - I reinstalled Flybywire SimBridge, which may have also played a part in my airliners working correctly.

This was a very frustrating experience and I hope this information will help other people who come across this problem. Many thanks.

You are welcome. Glad it is resolved.

Happy flying

Ian
