alreday plus of one year i use simbrief and navigraph chart, but from when i use Beyound ATC i notest something very strange.
i prepare the flight plan in simbrief and he assign departing and arrival RWY and approach but when i start BAT they give me very soon another RWY for departure, i go to watch navigraph chart and i read the RWY not used, so i want understand why simbrief 2 minute before assign me that RWY??? the same a lot time for Arrival RWY, and not after 2 hours but soon navigraph chart said me not used. why?? sometime happen especialy with LIRF, normally departure RWY is 25 and i check on flightradar and it is 25 but simbrief assign another totally different. the problem is i have all the SID totally different, so, i do another time the flightplan or i have to do procedure not correct. how i can resolve this problem? thanks
What you are seeing here is normal. There are several tools, working independently and do not share the same runway choice.
SimBrief choses the runway based on the forecast wind for your planned departure time. It picks the runway with the best headwind, then builds a SID to fit it.
Beyond ATC chooses the runway from the weather in your simulator at the moment you start it and uses its own logic. It can be different from SimBrief, even if its only a few minutes later.
Navigraph Charts does not choose a runway, it shows the charts and the weather. It can show you the runway in use, however that is dependent on the source you have chosen.
FR24, since this is real world tracking, pilots follows ATC rules, noise abatement and standard procedures, not only wind.
Tis is why they disagree often, especially at an airport like Fiumicino, it uses a fixed runway system with strict noise abatement rules, so the active runway is often not the one with the best wind. SimBrief only knows the wind so it will often pick a different runway there.
You don’t need to recreate the entire flightplan. The route, fuel, weighs do not change, only the SID changes with the runway.
Generate your flightplan in SimBrief.
Start Beyond ATC and see which runway it gives you.
In the aircrafts FMS, select the SID based on that runway.
If you prefer SimBrief to match from the beginning, you can also set the departure runway and procedures manually in SimBrief before you generate the flightplan, once you know which runway Beyond ATC will use.
This is actually how real flightplanning works also. The dispatcher/commander plans a likely runway, but ATC gives the final runway at departure time, which is then matched.
thanks for your answer, i k now about BATC ans imbrief they do different, but simbrief and navigraph chart i thought was like the same things, i thought was imposible, i create a Flp in simbrief and open the chart and already say me RWY not in used. why simbrief directly not change? when navigrph said me not in used, i do again the flight plan, is better.
Hi, by default Navigraph Charts considers the SayIntentions.AI ATIS if no other sources are available. SimBrief does not, which is leading to the mismatch.
As you are using BeyondATC instead of SayIntentions, we recommend you disable the SayIntentions ATIS in Charts. You can do that in the Charts settings tab:
