SIM link for Mac

Hello everyone, I was wondering, since I bought a Mac, among other uses I also used it to see the maps during the flight and using it with sim link can I also see the magenta triangle that moves?

How do you set up the Mac?

Hello,

Welcome to the Navigraph forum!

Thank you for joining us. For details about the moving map functionality, please visit our website. To download the Simlink application, check out this link. Be sure to download the macOS version of the Simlink application.

Here are the steps to install and configure the Simlink application on your Mac:

  1. Open the downloaded package file Navigraph+Simlink.dmg.
  2. A window will open; simply drag and drop the Simlink app into the Applications folder as shown in the installation window below:
  3. Now, open the Navigraph Simlink application from the macOS Launchpad or Applications folder:
  4. When you run the Navigraph Simlink application for the first time, it will request permission to access certain features. Please allow all permissions for the Simlink application.
  5. After launching the Simlink application, you will be prompted to sign in, as shown below:

If you do not see the sign-in window, you can sign in later via the Simlink menu icon:
  6. Click the Sign In button; this will open a web browser for you to log in to your Navigraph account. If prompted in the browser, click the “Open Navigraph Simlink” button to proceed:
  7. Once you log in successfully through the web browser, you will automatically be signed into the Simlink application. You should see the Simlink status window:
  8. With the Simlink application signed in with your Navigraph account, you can now configure it to work with your flight simulator.
  9. If you are using X-Plane, you need to install the Simlink plugins for X-Plane. To do this, go to the Simlink Status window → Plugin Status → Click the Plugin Settings button:
  10. This will open the Navigraph Simlink Plugins settings window. Click the “Scan and Install” button to install the plugins, making sure the path to your X-Plane installation is correct:
  11. Now that Simlink is successfully configured with X-Plane, start X-Plane and keep the Simlink application running in the background.
  12. After you begin a flight in X-Plane, you can view the moving map of your current flight in the Navigraph Charts application.

That’s it! If you encounter any issues while setting up the Simlink application, please let us know.

Thank you!

Hello,

For windows please download the windows version of simlink and just SignIn into the Simlink application after installation.
For MSFS you no need to install any Simlink plugins.
Just make sure, Simlink application is running while you start flight into MSFS.

So you can use a Mac laptop on your bedroom desk to track your plane and use flight maps while you’re flying on another PC with Windows and the simulator open?

Hello,

You can use the Moving Map feature in the Navigraph Charts application, which is available on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and the web. This means you can access Navigraph Charts across different platforms. Just ensure that the Simlink application is running on the same system as the flight simulator.

If you have any questions related to our product, please feel free to ask.
