Sim Brief App doesn't show up in EFB

I downloaded and placed the simbrief dispatch tool folder to the MSFS 2024 community folder. In my MSFS Marketplace Library, I don’t see any sign of the dispatch tool.

What I expected to happen.

According to the release notes, I should be able to find the dispatch tool in the EFB under “Apps”

What actually happened

There is nothing in the additional Apps secition of the EFB.

Hi,
Possibly you have used the “wrong” community folder?!
Can you post your exact path to this community folder please?

Also, can you upload your UserCfg.opt file please?

for the Store-Version (copy & paste this into your file-explorer):

%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

for the Steam-Version (copy & paste this into your file-explorer):

%appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Thank you very much,
Richard

“C:\Users\drhog\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community”

Thank you, please upload the UserCfg.opt file too …

Thank you,
Richard

Currently searching for that file. Can you narrow down location?

Copy&paste this line in your file explorer, and you should find the UserCfg.opt file:

%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

It´s the same path from your community folder but two folders up …

Cheers,
Richard

I find two versions of that file with different file paths.

“C:\Users\drhog\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.opt”

UserCfg.opt (4.0 KB)

Other path:

“C:\Users\drhog\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.opt”

For 2024, it is the first folder, the “limitless” folder. When I compare it with the folder that you have posted, it seems to be correct.

Possibly a silly question:
You have downloaded the correct 2024 package, not the 2020? Sorry for this silly question; I want to confirm that you have the correct version.

Cheers
Richard

By 2024 package, do you mean the SimBrief Dispatch for MSFS 2024 package? Is so, then yes, I downloaded the 2024 version. It is titled “navigraph-efb-simbriefapp-latest”

BTW, the other content I have downloaded, including 3 different airplanes, are located in the Community folder, not the Community2024 folder. This is how MSFS Marketplace is looking for them, and it does see these 3 aircraft.

No, no … the Community folder is correct.

This is my Community folder, and I see the Simbrief EFB without any issues:

Hmmm

Cheers
Richard

OK, my folder looked different. It had “latest” in the filepath, so I went one layer deeper to copy the file that you show. That seemed to make the difference and it shows up now in EFB. Thanks for the help!

Ah, yes, you must put the content of the zip file into the community folder, not the zip file itself :+1::wink:
