Can I ask why it is that Navigraph gives SANBA SIDS at Manchester (EGCC) for 05 deps? This doesn’t happen.
Hello! Welcome to our forum!
Our route planner is an algorithm, and unfortunately it does not know about operational restrictions like these. Do you have a reference or are you basing this on experience?
Kind Regards,
Malte
Hi and thx for the reply.
Here is one of many.
EGCC > EGHI
05L - SANBA is Not a SID from 05s easterlies?

Thank you for the clarification! I see what you mean.
That route does not include any SID at all, but merely a waypoint (SANBA). Still, I’d probably personally pick LISTO and one of the associated departures…
I will move this to the correct forum category (SimBrief), and we shall investigate!
Kind Regards,
Malte
Hi, your screenshot shows the 8th route suggestion. Was the default (first) route suggestion valid? It should have been: LIST2S LISTO L612 HON L8 BUGUP BUGU1S
The SANBA and LISTO SIDs have different terminating waypoints, therefore requiring different initial route segments. SimBrief will attempt to choose a route that begins at the correct waypoint (typically SANBA for the 23s or LISTO for the 05s) depending on the current runways in use.
However, even if the 05s are in use, it will still include the SANBA routes lower down in the suggested routes list for info. In case SimBrief chose the wrong departure runway and you want to manually select a SANBA route, for example.
Best regards,
Hi guys
Can you explain this one to me then?
EGCC to LMML Dept 05L. SANBA does not exist for 05L
Check it out for me and let me know.
Thanks and
Kind regards
Darren…
Hi,
Did you manually select 05L after entering your departure/arrival airports? Currently SimBrief won’t reprioritize routes if you change runways, but in a future update it might.
It also won’t reorder routes based on transition waypoint for history routes (routes previously used by other users).
It’s also possible there simply weren’t any valid routes beginning at LISTO in the database. I see a LISTO route available now, but it’s possible it wasn’t there 3 days ago when you planned this.
Best regards,
Just to follow up, version 2.21.0 has been released which should improve this somewhat.
When changing runways, if the current route does not connect to a SID/STAR, it will now ask you if you’d like to find a different route instead.
Best regards,
