Loved to be able to preview your annotation feature @ fsweekend2024.
It would be cool to make annotations on different docs like you implemented it now, but also show the existing annotations in the world map view on the respective charts that can be displayed with scale.

Hi! I mean with the new feature of annotations coming next week, you can annotate flight plans, and charts. But not directly in the world map.
However the charts you can display on the world map view (in scale and transparency) they don’t yet show the annotations.
I don’t know how technically difficult it is, but I imagine if you already made notes on a chart, and that chart is currently able to be displayed in the map view with scale, that same chart could be displayed including the existing annotations made earlier.
I hope that clarifies it more. Let me know.
I referenced your wishlist topic since it is related to this one in that they both want to be able to see annotations in the world map in one way or another. Mentioning your topic creates an organic link between them, which makes them easier for others to find and differentiate between!
No action is needed from you @Petterstor , I just mentioned your topic and you got a notification because of this.
Unfortunately, such a feature would be very technically involved and would require the same amount of work that the other feature (referenced earlier) would. That is why I mentioned it as well, they both have the same dependency - being able to show annotations on the map.
There are possible solutions to be able to show annotations strictly on a chart image that is being overlaid in the map (and not in the map itself), but as far as I know, they would only work on the web platform so it is currently not an option. We appreciate the feedback though, this is what the wishlist is for!
@Fromit87 you might want to add your vote to this topic since we use the amount of votes as an aid when prioritizing between feature requests in this forum section!

Chart Annotation is a welcome addition - thank you.
I would like to suggest three things to add to it.
To be able to annotate when the chart is overlaid on the map.
To be able to annotate by using a text box and typing on the keyboard.
To be able to annotate on the map as well.
My reasons for my suggestions is that like in real life flying you sometimes will circle and area on the sectional and also sometimes draw a line for your approach to the airport pattern.
My reason for text box typing annotation is it is difficult to write or letter with the mouse.
Please make this a dedicated wishlist topic!
