I’ve found that when calculating landing performance with certain aircraft such as the E190 and Dash 8 Q400 on SimBrief. The only option for Reverse Credit is “No”. When I believe there should be an option of “Yes”, because as we all may know, such aircraft are capable of reverse thrust.
Is this a mistake in the system, or am I to be corrected?
Plus, a lot of aircraft weren’t certified with using reverse thrust for landing performance. While the operator may use it for operational performance, for dispatch, the dispatch landing performance wouldn’t use it.
As a Flight Dispatch student (Performance being one of my next exams at my CAA) I can confirm this. For dispatch performance calculations, reverse is only accounted for in case of rejected take-off, for ASDA calculations. being ignored at dispatch phase for landing performance calculations.
