does simbrief not import the cruising altitude and step altitude to mcdu, i enter cruise altitude myself in the init page , but does simbrief not auto do it even though it is set to auto

This is intended behavior. The Airbus MCDU (in this case) imports the lateral route however the cruise level and cost index are entered by the pilot on the INIT page and step climbs are entered manually on the vertical revision page, which is the same workflow in real life. The crew verifies this information against ACARS and enters data in themselvs.
