Not sure if this is the right place to post and from looking on the various forums and Googling it I know that there have been problems in the past (which may have been fixed?) but there seems to be an ongoing problem, possibly post SU3 in MSFS 2024.
Sometimes the flight plan created in Simbrief will port through to the plane using the Garmin G1000 but more often than not nothing happens when you press the install button on the EFB, and if you choose the Import Flight Plan option in game at the bottom right of the G1000 is stalls on “Importing”. Clearing out the flight plan sometimes allows it to load at a second or third attempt but more than not you end up with the same message.
I’ve tried the various recommendations to no avail, including deleting everything and reinstalling, including the flight sim itself but it makes no difference. I can impot the .pln flight plan created in MS Flight Planner but bot that via Simbrief.
Please advise the steps you are taking in detail to load the SimBrief-generated plan into the aircraft, preferably with screenshots using the Guide to posting Screenshots
I’ve tried to replicate the problem today with several aircraft – all without success! For the past few days I was trying to load a flight from Jersey to Guernsey in the Asobo Cessna 172 and the SWS Kodiak and sometimes the plan would load properly but mostly it wouldn’t and by going in to Load Flight Plan in the G1000 bottom right it would allow me to select the plan but then seemingly hang or rather sit on “Importing” on screen. I tried various other options, starting from loading in the EFB before spawning at the airport, to creating the flight plan in the EFB (using the Simbrief Tab) once on the runway but nothing seemed to work. I also tried restarting the sim or just the flight, with the same result. I also tried deleting the flight plan which had loaded incorrectly (possibly picking up on a previous version for a different plane), again bottom right on the G1000 and then loading the correct plan, to no avail. The closest I could come to replicating this today was with the Asobo TBM 930 where initially it loaded the wrong plan, but was still able to correct this. Very frustrating. Unless you can pinpoint a problem in recent days which seem to align with those reported some months ago I suppose we’ll have to put it down to another glitch with the sim and hope for the best ongoing…
