Presence of 2413 in MS2024 freezes at Dest RWY Selection

Repeatable: 100%
Problem Details:

  1. Import flight plan from Simbrief in the EFB
  2. Import flight from Simbrief in A330 tablet
  3. Select departure runway and procedure
  4. Select arrival runway for NZCH 02
  5. MSFS2024 freezes
    Have not reproduced at other airports

DOES NOT HAPPEN IF:
navigraph-nav-base AND navigraph-nav-jepp are removed from community folder

There is a big section to skip - I start the engines before setting destination which is unnecessary to reproduce.

I’ll be posting to MSFS Support as well but have cross posted here because it is the presence of 2413 cycle that causes the crash.

Happens with following route:

Same dest RWY

Doesn’t happen with following routes:
SPJC/16L ITAV2F ILMAR UL302 SIMOK SIMO7B SCEL/17R
YSSY/16L KEVIN7 EVONN L521 LUNBI LUNB1N NZAA/23L

May I ask an additional question?
Have you discovered this only in the Inibuilds a/c, or is this reproducible with every a/c?

Additionally, when you select NZCH/02 or 20 in the stock in-game EFB (via WorldMap), does it freeze, too?

I will check it, but we are working on a new revision that fixes several bugs. It is possible that we can fix this issue, too.

I’m an old software/hardware tester, so I hope my reporting hasn’t gotten rusty!

I’ll look at those scenarios when I can, summer in NZ so getting some outdoor time.

No, such reports are perfect, old or not - I’m also not a youngster with my 50+ :wink:

Copied and fully understandable, no probs. Here (Austria) its winter time and therefore I can check it today :joy::snowman::snowflake:

Definitely happens with other iniBuiilds (A321, A320 A400M tested, not tested on A310)
Did not cause a freeze on the Asobo B73M or Working title B747-400

By not using the EFB at all - just entering NZAA Dep NZCH Arr, then importing using the ini tablet, then * init request LSK on the FMC, the freeze occurs.

I have also generated the freeze by manually entering the flight just using the FMC in the A400M, so not using simbrief at all. BUT for the A330 the freeze was slightly different. Instead of a complete freeze, I could still pan, zoom, interact with some components but the clock stopped running, the FMC & radios were unresponsive. I was able to escape back out to the main menu.
