KDTW ILS Y Rwy 22R, MSFS 2024, AIrac 2602 Rev 1. This apch does not activate w/ a LOC LNAV to join, it results in a single green needle pointing away from the airport. Aircraft is Hondajet native for MSFS 2024, G3000 v2. (111.75 IBZB)
Other approaches work as expected.
Could this be a scenery issue?
Starting to believe this is a scenery root issue. Just removed the KDTW scenery and took off from KDTW to fly a circuit back for the ILS Y 22R and it’s all working properly now.

I have checked your report with the stock scenery and the default G1000, and I can’t reproduce it either. So it is very likely an issue with your 3rd-party scenery (or the aircraft addon itself).
To identify the issue, I would check the approach with the default G1000 and with the 3rd-party scenery installed as well. When it’s working, you know it is an aircraft issue; when it’s not, it’s a scenery issue.

I tested it with the COWS DA42 w/ G1000 and the issue was reproduced. So I would say it’s a scenery issue indeed, at least on MSFS 2024. The scenery is the only KDTW one on flightsim.to fyi.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your test results. When the Cows DA42 uses the default/stock G1000 rather than its own, then I guess you are right about the scenery issue.
We use the stock C172 with the G1000 because we know 100% that this device uses the latest WT Navionics framework. That’s not the case with all stock planes (as far as I know).
Thanks again for your testing time. I know that this is partly very time-consuming, but sometimes it is necessary to identify the core issue.
