Maybe this issue has been addressed before but could not find the solution. Here is the summary; I am experiencing a persistent “NO NAV DATABASE” issue with the PMDG 737 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (Steam).
The aircraft was purchased directly from the PMDG website. Navigraph data works correctly with my other aircraft, but the PMDG 737 does not recognize any navigation database. The FMC displays “NO NAV DATABASE” and no airports or waypoints can be entered.
To troubleshoot, I have:
Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the PMDG 737.
Removed and reinstalled the Navigraph PMDG package using Navigraph Hub.
Verified the Community folder installation path.
Performed a clean reinstall following the recommended installation procedure.
Restarted the simulator and Windows multiple times.
Despite these steps, the problem remains unchanged.
Could you please advise what additional diagnostics or log files you would like me to provide? I would appreciate any guidance to help identify the root cause. I would really appreciate any advice, because I am totally lost!
On the EFB, everything looks as it should. I can see the correct AIRAC cycle in the top-right corner, and everything appears to be working correctly there.
The problem seems to be that the PMDG is unable to find the navigation data. The NAV DATA section on the FMC IDENT page is completely blank, as shown in the attached screenshot.
I also tried swapping the navdata folders under the WASM and Community folders, but that didn’t resolve the issue.
I tried the steps you suggested. I uninstalled the PMDG 737 using PMDG Operations Center and then reinstalled it, but it still shows “No Nav Data” on all versions of the aircraft.
I also completely uninstalled Microsoft Flight Simulator and all related components, then performed a clean reinstall. Unfortunately, the PMDG 737 still does not detect even the default AIRAC cycle that comes with the simulator.
The issue has been present since the very first time I installed the PMDG 737. It makes no difference whether I have the updated Navigraph AIRAC installed or not—the FMC never displays any navigation database information.

I assume you have other issues with your system because after a fresh installation of the PMDG, you should see the default AIRAC data on the FMC ident page. That is not navdata-related because the PMDG setup includes a navdata file that can be used without any subscription. It is outdated, yes, but you must see it - when not, something is wrong with your whole system.
As soon as you see the default AIRAC cycle on the FMC ident page, I´m pretty sure that all updates (via EFB or via the Hub) will work as expected. So, the main question is, what is wrong? Why don´t they recognize the PMDG data, or why won’t they be installed via their setup?
I would contact PMDG with the question of what you can do now. Why you don´t see the default AIRAC data in your FMC ident after a fresh PMDG installation (without using any updates from us)? That is the core question …
Sorry, that we can’t help here more but it is clear any other issue are not navdata-update releated.

Yes, that is correct. Even after completely uninstalling and reinstalling the PMDG 737, I still do not see the default AIRAC cycle on the FMC IDENT page. The NAV DATA field remains empty, even before installing any Navigraph updates. Something is preventing the PMDG aircraft from recognizing or installing its own default navigation database.
I have contacted the PMDG support and they say it is not in their area of expertise. It looks like I am gonna have to fly the thing without the FMC.

Regarding the files under C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\pmdg-aircraft-736\work\NavData, there is actually no folder named work in that location.
However, there is another folder named Config, and inside it there is a NavData folder containing three files: cycle.json, cycle_info, and e_dfd_PMDG.s3db. When I opened the cycle_info text file, it showed the default October 2023 AIRAC cycle, which I believe is the correct default database.
