PMDG 737 and SIMLINK

I have installed PMDG 737 and also the Navigraph Addon for that aircraft.
BUT, when I try to open Simlink the app says that Simlink is already running.
My questions are:

  1. How do I access Simlink to create a flight plan?
  2. How does Navigraph/Simlink integrate or show in the 737 FMC?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Claus,

Simlink is used to provide Moving Map functionality in Charts.

Maybe you meant SimBrief, our flight planner accessed at SimBrief.com - Virtual Flight Planning Solutions.

If so please see P117-118 of the PMDG_737_MSFS_Introduction.pdf in your MSFS PMDG documentation, commencing at Using Simbrief to create a flight plan and weather data.

Also please see MSFS | PMDG 737 Tutorial - Simbrief Flight Plans & How to Import into the FMC (Plus Route Weather) - YouTube

If you need more assistance please ask.

Cheers
Ian

Hello Ian,

The Simbrief Downloader is unable to find the directory "The program was not able to detect any folders for this add-on. Please manually select them."

I have the latest version of Windows10 Pro. I do not know how to solve this problem.

I have also posted a lengthy 15 post blog in the PMDG Support Forum.

Hopefully you can solve this problem for me so I can continue to use Navagraph.

Thank you,
Claus

Hi Claus,

I shall assume you installed the standard MSFS Sim from Marketplace: If not please advise.

In SimBrief Downloader PMDG Flightplan section you need to add a Download Directory where SimBrief places the rte files created when you generate an OFP. This will be something like:

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work\Flightplans

In PMDG Wind Uplink section you need to add a Download Directory where SimBrief places the weather files. This will be something like:

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work\WX

Are you able to set these up?

You are welcome.

Happy flying.

Hello again, Ian

One more question. I downloaded and installed the Charts deal for MSFS 2020,… but I can’t find it.

Where should I look?

Thanks in advance,
Cheers

Claus

Hi Claus,

If you mean Navigraph Charts In-Game Panel installed from Navigraph Navdata Center it is accessed in the MSFS toolbar:

Thanks - found it. How do I get to the detailed charts showing the ILS approach and the runways etc.?

Hi Claus,

The Charts In-Game panel is basically Charts Cloud, so you use the same user interface:
