Please Integrate Simbrief into Charts

Hello!

When Navigraph aquired SimBrief, we promised that we would keep SimBrief free for everyone. We will stand by that promise, and SimBrief will always be a separate product.

That said, we will expand our existing SimBrief integrations further in the future! Is there something specific that you are looking for, or is your goal to be able to skip the SimBrief interface completely?

Surely you can do both?

Keep Simbrief as it is but also integrate into Charts to ensure a smooth flight planning solution.

Exactly, we can do both. However, we cannot feasibly merge all the features of SimBrief into Charts for several reasons. Especially not all at once.

So what features are you most looking forward to? Let’s say that you could generate a SimBrief flightplan from within Navigraph charts - what parts of the SimBrief output would be most important to you?

Just dropping in: Performance calculations for takeoff and landing, to make sure the runways are sufficient for plane and load.

Oh, and ability to file an IFR flight plan into the default MSFS atc-system.

Would you like to elaborate on this last one? This is already possible through many different options:

  • SimBrief Downloader (PLN files)
  • Navigraph Charts exports (PLN files)
  • Direct export to the simulator through:
    • Navigraph Charts In-Game panel
    • Navigraph Charts EFB app (2024)
    • SimBrief EFB app (2024)
    • SimBrief world map integration (2020)

Perhaps you could add some context to clarify what you’re missing?
