PDMG 737 800 Simbrief Plan Not Loading

When Requesting New Data from Simbrief on the PDMG 737 800 on MSFS2020 Xbox X the full flight plan is not loading.

The EFB displays the flight details for the flight plan but not the route data.

When moving to FMC, the route is in Red and not available.

This has occurred only on the last 3 days.

In parallel with this the Simbrief plan is diaplaying ClAUTO for Cruise, this has never happened before either.

I reinstalled MSFS 2020 a month ago and it’s been fine but not today. I have reinstalled the PDMG 737 again today but that has not rectified the issue.

I’m presently unable to load a flight plan.

Is there any change to Simbrief Despatch that could have caused this?

Hi Glen,
What AIRAC cycle do you use? Have you created the flightplan in SimBrief with the same AIRAC cycle as you used in PMDG?

Hi Richard, I’m on 2503 (free version I’m afraid) it seems to be my default but has been fine until now.

Actually checking the EFB, the AIRAC version is not displayed or the validity.

I have requested download of latest but it seems to be hung on “Install Navdata”.

The PMDG is also shipped with 2503. When you look at the FMC ident page, do you see the cycle 2503?

If not, please reinstall the PMDG and check the FMC ident again. You should see 2503.

Also, please check whether you are using the latest PMDG version (via OC3).

Thanks Richard, FMC shows AIRAC-2310, I’m not able to create a plan on 2310. This PDMG version of the 737 Model was downloaded a month agowhen I didn’t complete reinstall

Please post a screenshot of the version from OC3 to check if you are using the latest one.

AIRAC 2310 is very outdated, and I thought PMDG used the latest free cycle (in this case, 2503) in their setups.

I will check it; please upload a screenshot from the OC3 app showing the installed version.

Perhaps I’m reaching EOL here, hope not as was waiting for component prices to settle to move to PC but not yet.

No, I guess that has nothing to do with EOL … The main reason is that you are planning a flight with newer data than you are using in the PMDG.

That’s a gap of over 15 cycles, so the PMDG may not be able to load such a flight plan.

Not something we can fix, I am sorry - you can buy a one-month subscription to bring both systems to the same level/cycle. I guess that this is the best and safest solution.

Appreciate the advice Richard, thanks, I will do that though the PDMG Model will still be locked in history.

I will need and want a full time subscription once ai migrate to Windows but for now stuck with MSFS2020/24.

Perhaps I can buy some time on 2024 but it’s still flakey on Xbox.

For when you are back at your desk Richard.

I have now subscribed to Navigraph, I did 12 Months as have had a good long and pleasurable free ride and will plan to move to Windows in three to six months.

I have updated the EFB and Simbrief Despatch to the latest AIRAC, the only ones not locked are 2610 and 2503.

I can list all the older AIRAC cycles now but they are not available for selection on either the EFB or Simbrief Despatch

Even with the EFD updated to 2610 now and same Despatch AIRAC it’s not displaying the route map on the EFB. The flight details header is correct but same issue as yesterday.

It is not a possible option to now roll back to now install an older AIRAC on the EFB.

I don’t know if I have missed something or should raise this with PDMG too.

Further information after trying several things. If I load an older saved Flightplan and edit it with new route data it does load to the EFB and display the route map as well as available to the FMC. The Cl code is no ClAuto but consistent with a new plan.

If I try to load a newly generated plan it displays on Despatch as ClAuto and will not load the route map to the EFB.

Perhaps this helps point to where the error lies. Thanks :folded_hands:
