Passenger count mismatch after changing weight settings

Hi,

I’m using the default Boeing 737-800 profile in SimBrief and flying the PMDG 737-800 in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

After I changed the default passenger and baggage weights in SimBrief to slightly lower values (to make the total payload more realistic), I noticed that the number of passengers loaded in the PMDG aircraft no longer matches the passenger count in the flight plan.

It seems SimBrief adjusts the total payload correctly, but PMDG (and GSX) load fewer passengers to compensate for the lower weight per person.

Is there any way to make the actual passenger number in the aircraft match the flight plan after modifying those weights?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Chris

I don’t think so. If I am not mistaken, PMDG uses fixed passenger/baggage weights and the PMDG-specific profiles provided by @Awemeter match those weights so that the Simbrief and PMDG passenger counts correspond.

Once you change the passenger weights in your profile then this no longer holds true.

Regards,

Tim
