Option to save a route string

Is there any way to save a user defined route string? We have Real World routes, Vatsim, SimBrief, Eurocontrol, but no option to save our own? I realise it’s possible to save a flight, but often I find I just want to save the route string so that it’s available for future use.

Hi Martin,

There isn’t a specific save-string feature in SimBrief or Charts.

  • I set up a Windows shortcut with the shortcut key Ctrl-Alt-W to start Microsoft Word. I have unchecked Word options\General\Show the Start screen when this application starts.
  • I then use Ctrl-C to copy the route string from SimBrief or Charts, then press Ctrl-V to paste it into the Word document.
  • If not Word, you can create a shortcut key to a simple text editor.
