I just used the Mac FMS Data Manager to update my installed AIRAC cycle and the thought occured to me, why isn’t this operation automatic? Or, to put it another way, why isn’t there an option to make it automatic? When the AIRAC cycle changes I always have to restart my flight after I discover that the currently installed data files are out of date. It seems that this could be avoided by simply choosing to update the files automatically. If this “wish” has appeared before, please tell me why it has not been implemented. Thanks.
