I had all the packages installed before, but one day I opened the Hub to look for updates and found that they weren’t installed. What is strange is that in the community folder, they are in fact, installed. Here is an image:
I was trying to reinstall Navigraph Hub, so I could reconfigure the destination folder to where I want the files to be installed, but it didn’t work out.
Thank you for providing details about the issue you are experiencing with Navigraph Hub.
To resolve the issue, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check the folder permissions to ensure they allow for reading and writing. Additionally, try running the Navigraph Hub application as an administrator and consider reinstalling it.
For instructions on changing folder permissions, you can refer to this link.
Vishal, the error persisted. I tried other methods to see if it worked, but it didn’t. Although I found the problem.
I checked the main.log and found that the error is pretty simple, but I don’t know how to solve it.
The log says this:
ERROR: Cannot create output directory: The system cannot find the specified route. : D:\MSFS2020\Community\
The problem is that my boot drive, which is where MSFS is installed and is identified as (E:), not (D:), as the log says. Then the solution is to change the directory where I need to install the files, which is: E:\MSFS2020\Community\
How can I do it?
I tried reinstalling Navigraph Hub to change it in the Setup, but during the installation of the .exe, it automatically installs itself and doesn’t let me indicate in which directory.
With your current MSFS 2020 simulator configuration, the Navigraph Hub expects to find the Community and Official folders—where your add-on packages are installed—located in D:\MSFS2020\Community\.
If you want to modify the MSFS 2020 configuration, please manually change the file UserCfg.opt, which can be found at %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache.
In the UserCfg.opt file, you will need to update the path for the InstalledPackagesPath tag value.
I updated the UserCfg.opt file that I found in C:\Users\(my user)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator and changed the path to InstalledPackagesPath "E:\MSFS2020\".
Then I restarted Navigraph Hub, and it detected the add-ons, and I could update them.
