No METAR message in UZFF

Hello! I noticed that the Navigraph app doesn’t display the METAR weather report in UZFF, but when preparing for a flight using Simbrief, the Metar report is available.

Thanks for reporting this, we’re investigating.

I realized that this is most likely due to the fact that the airspace of Uzbekistan received a new code UZ instead of UT. for example: UZTT (formerly UTTT), Samarkand - UZSS (UTSS), Bukhara - UZSB (UTSB), Termez - UZST (UTST), Karshi - UZSK (UTSK), Navoi - UZSA (UTSA), Fergana - UZFF (UTFF), etc.

These seem to be all the airports that have changed their codes.
Tashkent (I. Karimov) UTTT UZTT
Tashkent-Vostochny UTTP UZTP
Samarkand UTSS UZSS
Bukhara UTSB UZSB
Termez UTST UZST
Karshi UTSK UZSK
Navoi UTSA UZSA
Fergana UTFF UZFF
Andijan UTFA UZFA
Namangan UTFN UZFN
Urgench UTNU UZNU
Nukus UTNN UZNN

Thanks a lot for the extra information! I appreciate that and have passed this to development so we can investigate further. For now, just use the weather information SimBrief presents.

It’s more complicated than just weather. Some XP12 planes such as the Challenger will not import Simbrief flightplans as they are expecting UTSS not UZSS. Furthermore the airport had a missing ILS beam.

… but this must be reported to Laminar Research, please, because we don’t offer ICAO airport codes in the X-Plane datasets. That’s nothing what we have in our hands.

Cheers
Richard

I’ve done that already
