The new update with the scratchpad isn’t compatible with the desktop (PC) version. You have to type with your mouse held down, which is inconvenient on a tablet or laptop with a touchscreen. Furthermore, you can’t remove the scratchpad; it stays at the bottom of the bar for the entire duration of the screen. On my PC, I’ve been using a notepad for years and typing my instructions.
I’m curious what other users think about this.
I’ve no problem with the desktop version. I think its very nice, but I fly always in VR. So I have to draw with the mouse. Which make it very difficult to write. I miss the virtual keyboard. It would be great if we could use the virtual keyboard to type the information. Special when we fly in VR! I hope this will become posibel.

hi, there. I love the new scratchpad function. Very well done also with the charts integrattion but i have a little problem. I use with my desktop pc on the secondo monitor. So, everything works fine but it’s a little bit i.e. difficult writing with the keyboard. I mean to put the cursor where i want to write is not easy. I’d like, if possible, changing this.

Regarding various unexpected issues, clearing the app cache may help
- Android - Settings → Charts App → Storage → Clear Cache
- iOS - iOS doesn’t have a clear cache feature, however by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, cache is cleared.
It would be interesting to see the results of this.
