So this is obviously not just a BATC problem, it is a problem with the new AIRAC messing up some AI traffic injectors - Navigraph devs - does that help you narrow down what’s happening?
Yes 100%. I’m doing some testing now where I completely removed the Navigraph data from my Fenix, FSHud, ActiveSky, and I’m going to do a fresh clean install again. If its a CTD again, its more or likely the AIRAC.
Still crashing. Reinstall of nav data didn’t work. I guess I will wait on an update.
try disabling all AI traffic injection - some say that works
Gentlemen,
Please stop speculating … You mix a lot of things. FSHud has nothing to do with BATC, Fenix has nothing to do with FSHud, BATC, or PMDG …
FSHud uses its own database in the background, and PMDG also uses its own data; BATC uses the in-game BGL files. So three different formats that have nothing to do with each other, even when it looks like they do to you. Thats simple confusing for others here. So please give us and BATC time to analyze the issue and avoid making things more complex, even when you want to help.
MSFS2020 works without BATC as expected. We haven´t received reports according to CTDs - not here nor in the ticket system. Such issues can be very complex due to the lack of output from the MSFS in such cases. So, we need time … thanks for your patience.
Thank you for your understanding,
Richard
Understood, but one thing that FSHUD has in common with other apps that folks are having CTDs with - BATC and FSLTL, is that they all do traffic injection, and some BATC users report that BATC does not CTD if you turn its traffic injection off. So maybe this is something specific to how these apps provide AI traffic injection. Anyway, you guys are the experts, we know that, just trying to help
This comes across very dismissive to people posting here with their experience and what they have found. You can’t say you don’t know what’s going on as it’s complex, while telling everyone who is trying to get you some information to stop speculating.
From the users who have had the issue with BATC on the BATC Discord that I’ve seen;
- All MSFS2020, no MSFS2024 reports seen
- Mostly happens the moment traffic is spawned in. May happen later
- Users report also having the issue with FSHud and traffic spawning and also when using the FSLTL injector
- Insufficient number of incidents to determine if it’s geo specific (ie certain part of the world)
All right, thank you … it should not be dismissive …
I will come back here once we have any information from BATC and have identified the issue, when it is an issue our side.
Cheers,
Richard
I have the same issue when using BATC.
My MSFS2020 does not CTD but its freze
me too…CTD immediatly.
In general, not at all a new issue that problems happens after AIRAC updates. Sometimes issues with uniq aircraft’s. Other times issues like those issues. Why? And how are NG:s quality checks performed before airac releases? After all this service is an expensive service?
Same here.
After the last Navigraph update I get CTD regardless of airport, (EDDF, ESSA, ENBO, BIKF) when BATC injects certain aircraft types. When removing most Airbus and Boeing types from the library, I don’t get CTD.
i.e. At EDDF I could have BATC inject B737-800 and B787 without CTD.
But reinstalling all types and activating BATC or FSLTL injection results in CTD within seconds.
At remote, small airports with limited traffic I can fly until reaching more dens traffic in busy airspace, where the simulator goes CTD.
As both FSLTL and BATC injected traffic perfectly until the last Navigraph update yesterday, the source of the CTD must be in the new navdata.
I had the same issue crashed about 15 mins into flight but was also crashing at the gate I removed the latest Airac and tried a flight today all seemed OK except without the latest Airac I noticed the required SIDwas not available in the mcdu.
I also had a CTD since the latest AIRAC update flying from LTFJ (I understand LTFM is one of the problem airports). Not straight away but while taxying so presumably it wasn’t until some traffic was injected with a particular airport as destination.
Did a flight from NZCH to NZQN with no problems since the update so it may be geographical. There have been esoteric geographical CTDs before related to world updates or sim updates ( SU16 - Reproducible CTD over NZ South Island with NZ POIs and DX12 - Crashes (CTDs) - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums )
Might it be something in a world update interacting with all these things causing a crash?
We have a whole lot of people here, where AIRAC 2063 crashes the Sim - mostly in connection with traffic-addons. As long as the problem isn`t solved, wouldnt it be a good idea to offer AIRAC 2062 in the meanwhile as this one worked without any issues?
We are investigating the CTD’s to determine the cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Cheers
Ian
I believe it is also happening in MSFS2024 - I have tried both EGLL and LFSB, loaded sim and BATC, CTD whilst on GSX push back, initally thought it was GSX so tried without GSX and still CTD - Loaded in without BATC sim runs perfectly fine.
I’m using FSLTL. Same problem. CTD. Once after landing. Second time after takeoff.
I’m experiencing the same issue with MSFS 2020 and FSLTL. I’ve tested at different airports (EDDF, LFSB) and with various aircraft (FBW A320, JustFlight 146), and everything runs smoothly with AIRAC 2603 Rev. 1.
However, as soon as I start injecting traffic, the simulator crashes to desktop (CTD). Without traffic, everything works perfectly fine.
I’ve also found that uninstalling the 2603 cycle resolves the issue, and FSLTL works normally again. However, the problem reappears as soon as I reinstall the latest cycle.
Hi,
Can someone uninstall and reinstall the AIRAC 2603 for MSFS2020, please? No new revision, simply remove it and install it again.
I have re-uploaded the files again (14:15 UTC)
After that, please use a standard CTD test. Thank you very much!
Cheers,
Richard
