Navdata Center does not recognise MSFS 2020 is installed

I’m just started to use navigraph again, excited to use the MSFS 2020 intergration. When Logging into the Navigraph Navdata app, it takes my straight to the charts without prompting me to select to install AIRAC Cycle and Charts In-Game Panel, which would normally also show MSFS 2020 as an installed Simulator in the dialog box. I don’t get that dialog box at all. All else works fine with MSFS 2020 on the PC. Please help!

Hi,
please can you take a screenshot … because the Navigraph Navdata Center, which is the application for the MSFS AIRAC updates and the in-game panel has nothing todo with the charts. So, I´m unsure, what application you exactly use … it is also possible, that you have a configuration error on your machine, that when you start an app, another app will be started, but that´s a Windows issue on your side than.

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard, Thanks for you quick reponse. I have attached 2 screenshots. One is showing the Navdata Center Loging screen that is presented upon lanching the Navdata Center app. The other is the Naigraph Desktop login screen which is presented after in select “Sign in” from the Navdata Center dialog box. Hope this helps you…Thanks Neil

Ah ok, that´s the normal login (not only for the charts) - so enter your registered email-adress and your password and you´re in …

Cheers,
Richard

I still don’t have MSFS 2020 intergration :frowning: …Neil

After entering Login information on the Navigraph Desktop Dialog box, it takes me straight to the Navigraph Maps / Charts. I’ve tried this with MSfs 2020 loaded and not loaded, with the same results.

Hi Neil,

If using Firefox, check you don’t have incorrect applications mapping in Firefox settings as per

Hi Ian,

I do use firefox. I checked the firefox applications settings as you decribed and it is set correctly. I have 3 navigraph applications shown under Content Type in firefox. They are as follows;

Content Type Action

Navigraph-charts Use Navigraph Charts (default)
Navigraph-desktop Use Navigraph Charts
Navigraph-traffic-desktop Use Navigraph Simlink (default)

FYI… I have tried running navigraph on an older PC thats running Windows 10, and the MSFS intergration works fine. The PC in question is running Windows 11. Could this be an issue?

Thanks
Neil

Hi Neil,

In Firefox settings, please point navigraph-desktop to Use Navigraph Navdata Center (default)

You may need to uninstall/install Navigraph Navdata Center.

Please let us know how you get on.

Hi Ian,

I followed what you suggested and repointed navigraph-desktop and now all works fine within MSFS !!

I think this issue came about due to the way the navigraph downloads install. You are presented with a file association dialog box with no clue on what file to select. The only way I found to finish the process, was to follow a post in the forum. Surly the install could be cleaned up so you are not presented with the file association boxs and the install it’self handles that internally.

Thanks very much for all your help
Neil

Hi Neil,

You are welcome. Glad it is resolved.

We shall investigate making installation more automatic for Firefox with this associations feature.
