I put my pilot id which is a 7 digit number for me it just state name not set

Where are you trying to enter your 7 digit SimBrief Pilot ID? Maybe you need your SimBrief username?

Tried both I enter it in the options on the plane tablet, nothing seems to work.

There is a known issue on Xbox with the A320neo in MSFS 2024, and it’s usually not actually about the 7-digit ID length. The problem is which keyboard you’re using and where you enter the ID.

:one: You must enter the Pilot ID in the EFB tablet, not the MCDU

In the newer A320neo versions, the SimBrief ID is entered in the EFB (tablet) options page, not directly in the MCDU anymore.

Steps:

  1. Sit in the cockpit.
  2. Open the EFB tablet (left side).
  3. Go to Options / Settings.
  4. Find SimBrief Pilot ID.
  5. Enter the 7-digit number there.

:two: On Xbox you must use the EFB’s virtual keyboard

Many Xbox players hit this exact issue because the Xbox on-screen keyboard doesn’t work correctly with the A320 EFB input field.

Important:

  • Use the aircraft’s virtual keyboard inside the tablet if it appears.
  • Don’t use the Xbox popup keyboard.

:three: After entering the ID

Do this or it sometimes won’t save:

  • Click outside the input box
  • Wait a second
  • Then restart the simulator once

Some users report the ID only registers after restarting.

:four: If the keyboard won’t let you type 7 digits

That’s actually a bug some Xbox players have reported with the A320 v2 tablet input.
Workarounds people use:

  • Restart the flight and try again
  • Change aircraft then switch back to the A320
  • Enter it slowly digit-by-digit

Your SimBrief Pilot ID should look like 1234567 (numbers only) — not your username.
