How can I display multiple user waypoints on a map at the same time?

You can only display one user waypoint at a time. You can Add to Route user waypoints one at a time, then they display as part of the route.
What is the use case you had in mind.

My flight plan included multiple, closely located airports with an IFR approach and touch and go at each one. I wanted to define two user waypoints on the map to facilitate setting up for the various approaches. Although not a show stopper, I’m curious to know what the reason is for having a limitation of only one user waypoint at a time?

I thought I confirmed the single waypoint behaviour, but I was wrong. Maybe I needed to restart my machine 
You can have multiple User Waypoints and they show on the map:

Did you do this as part of a flight plan? When I do it, the first waypoint disappears when I enter the second one. I will try again.
