MSFS Cost Index database

Hello everyone!

First of all sorry if this was already posted somewhere in the forum. Feel free to to delete or merge this topic or move to a more proper category if here is not the right place.
Now back on track.
Since most, if not all, freeware aircraft packs for FS2020, such as FBW A320N, Headwind A339 and Kuro 788, don’t account for different Cost Indexes but Simbrief does, if one plans a flight with a too low CI, it will calculate the flight with less fuel than the aircraft in the simulator will use. Having said that, I came with the idea of compiling a list of CIs for using in Simbrief to better match what the sim will actually use. Feel free to update the list and add more aircraft as you please.

  • FBW A320N: CI40-45 (with 40 it will be a little bit slower than actual, whereas at 45 it will be just above the actual speed, so using CI42 or 43 will be more precise);

  • Headwind A339X: CI100;

  • Inibuilds A310: CI50;

  • Kuro B787-8: CI160. Not 100% accurate, but close enough.

That’s it for now. As I said before, feel free to add or correct as needed.

Hi…,

I have moved this to Feature Request category. See also Custom cost index profile.

Thanks for moving my post. I didn’t think of this as a feature request, but rather a list to be used when one is planning a flight on SB, but your idea is nice as well, having it prefilled in the box when one chooses an aircraft to plan a flight. Didn’t think about that! That’s a good idea! Thanks!
