Msfs 2020 simbrierf, navigraph, pmdg 737

About a month ago I started having problem after loading simbrief into my 737. When I started my HIFI weather, I couldn’t get the weather from the EFB. I would get an error message. Al this was working until I had an update from HIFI and navigraph cycle. I don’t know what happened.

I discovered that when you open the navigraph hub, there’s a msfs 2020/2024 install outside the sim. When I went there it had update hifi active sky fs. I accidentally it update. Since then when I use hifi and simbrief. Simbrief can’t retrieve the weather from hifi. I’ve uninstall the hifi from the navigraph hub, but still can’t get the weather. I have my msfs 2020 on my E:/ drive.

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay in replying to your post! Unfortunately, it fell between the chairs.

On to the issue. Navigraph Hub only handles the navigation data Active Sky’s NavigraphData folder. It doesn’t install or remove the Active Sky application itself, and it has nothing to do with weather. So that step almost certainly isn’t what broke things, Active Sky should still be installed on your PC.

Active Sky operates between a local connection with SimBrief Downloader. If that stops working 9 times out of 10 is because the HTTP port the two apps use no longer matches, or Active Sky’s data export path got reset.

Try this,

  1. Start Active Sky and let it connect to MSFS, then start SimBrief Downloader.
  2. In Active Sky, go to Options → General and check the “Http web request port” and the “Common data export path.”
  3. Make sure the "Http web request port" port matches in the Active Sky section of SimBrief Downloader.

If you’re still having issues after this, confirm that Active Sky’s export path has permissions to write., since MSFS lives on the E: drive
