MPTO (Panama) airport 03R ILS Course 034

Please can you verify the course of the 03R ILS INAT in MPTO (Tocumen Airport, Panama), this has change from 033 to 034. But it keeps showing the ILS with 033 Course. Im using zibo 737 and Xplane 12 with a custom MPTO scenary.

Please verify and let me know.

Hi,
Please forward an official reference (from the AIP) for this change. Our data and our charts still show 033° as the final approach course.

We will report this to Jeppesen when we have the official reference to this change. Thank you!

Cheers
Richard

T8Check attachment.

New changes are:

Runway 03R ils new course is 034

Runway O3L RNP has a 3.2° descent slope

Let me know if you have any questions.

RG.

I need an official AIP document to report this, not a chart from another data provider.

This change looks new, and I am sure it will also be changed in one of the subsequent cycles.

Thank you very much
Richard

This change was made a couple of months ago around January.

Maybe jeppesen has it but they have not pass the information to you.

Just in case i will go ahead and contact tomorrow the aviation agency in panama.

Thanks.

Thanks. As soon as Jeppesen receives the updates from the countries, they will implement them, and you will see the results in the data and (usually) one or two iterations later on the charts.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi,
It is well known that LIDO chart provider (attachment provided) sometimes makes its own adjustments, according to current calculated magnetic variation changes (here 5W, instead of the 2019 4W as published on Panama AIP). Current AIP chart (30 MAR 22) still uses a 4W variation and a 033° LOC course. I don’t think it will be updated by Jeppesen on next AIRAC since there is no indication an AMDT will be in force on 2508 cycle and there’s no NOTAM either. Now, it is true that flying this ILS in current conditions (2025) will result in a 034-035° magnetic course while aligned on localizer considering current magnetic variation is W5.6
AIP Panama is here

Hervé

Thanks for the insights Hervé … another argument, why we may only trust the AIPs and why you can´t really compare one provider against each other

Thank you very much,
Richard
