every time there is an update my shortcut disappeares from my desktop
Other apps asks me I want the app to create a shortcut on my desktop…….
when I click on it it installs charts every time I open it
I cannot find any help in this forum so I must conclude that I am the only one having that problem
Am planning to download little navmap instead, its for free compared to navigraph that cost a 100 USD pr year

Is it only the Navigraph Charts app that behaves this way or have other applications behaved this way also?

It is only navigraph that deletes the shortcuts. I did update the Hub but every time I open the charts, it installs them again, it was not like that before the update.
I can open the charts in MSFS 2020 and I can import them into PMDG and other planes FMS
My problem is that I am not an IT professor but can normally solve smaller problems on my PC as well as in MSFS 2020, so it is annoying that I have to use so much time on an update.

Can you confirm you are not just running the installer instead of the installed Charts application? There is no normal scenario where the installer shows up after running the actual Charts app.

but I cannot find the charts shortcut, it is not in my W11 app list or on my desktop,
with ref to attached picture:
-If I press Navigraph charts, it sayes that charts.exe has been moved, do you want to delete shortcut
-FMS data m,manager is for FSX and prepar3dv4
-Hub looks right
-simlink is not for msfs 2020
by the way, what is the correct way into Navigraph flight sim training
Should I look for a shortcut in: local disk/user/ myname/appdata/ local or roaming
or where is the charts.exe file placed

The location totally depends on where you selected it. I would recommend that you fully uninstall the Charts app and reinstall it in the default location. That will ensure that the app will show up on your desktop.
Then launch the Charts app from there. Just make sure that you are launching the app and not the installer.

I think I found the exe file on this location:
