More on GLS

This is slightly different from my question about GLS the other day (so a new thread)..

Unlike ILS approaches, which mostly work perfectly (X-Plane 11), both laterally and vertically, whenever I have selected a GLS procedure (for example at KSFO or UUDD), although things look good at first (and the vertical component works just fine), I always seem to end up offset, laterally, from the runway, so that at a relatively early stage I have to disengage the A/P and continue the arrival manually (or land in the grass!).The GLS path to Rwy28R at KSFO looks perfectly normal (I mean aligned with the centre line, not offset) on the charts and in Little Navmap. Indications look correct, just as they should be, on the aircraft PFD.

Any ideas as to the reason for this offset? Thanks!

Hi,
This is more of a question for Laminar Research than for us. We only offer the data for the approach behind.

But I’m a little bit confused. You wrote the KSFO has an offset, and then you wrote: “perfectly normal”?!

Is it possible to upload a few screenshots and let me know which aircraft (possibly you have tested more than one) you are using for those approaches?

Thank you
Richard

Hi Richard… Sorry, I meant that the descent profile was ‘perfectly normal’; it’s the lateral alignment that seems to be off. I probably need to test this on more airports (not so many to choose from for GLS practice!).

Sure, I will post some screenshots if this seems to be every single GLS-enabled airport I try (but if it’s a Laminar issue, as you say, maybe I shouldn’t take up your time!). So far, I’ve been using the Zibo B738 and LevelUp B737NG.

Thank you.
