Missing STAR - SLLP - La Paz for PSS aircrafts

Hello,
I would like to inform that there are no STAR datas for the “SLLP - La Paz El Alto Intl” airport, in the PSS Airacs, and this for a long time.
That means no STAR datas for all AIrbus PSS as well as Boeing 757/777 (FS9, Win 7)
These same data, in accordance with the latest Navigraph chartss, are nevertheless present for PMDG aircraft (for exemple) …

It’s a shame for this very particular airport located at over 4000m, and on which every simmer must have trained
Thank you for your reply.

Hi Claude,
the issue here is that the country (in this case Bolivia) doesn´t provide STAR identifiers which are necessary to fulfill the ARINC424 specifications.

When you look on their charts (also on our charts), you see only “ARRIVAL” but no identifier. But as you know, you must select a STAR identifier in the FMC (independent which addon you use). Therefore due the missing identifiers (which will be provided by the government of the country), this arrivals can´t be coded and therefore, these arrivals are not included in the data.

Here what I mean - you find only the word ARRIVALS on it, but not specification/identifier nor any runway-information - that´s the same as from the AIP Bolivia:

Sorry, in this case we (and also our data provider) can´t do anything. This information must be provide by the countries. Hope that helps and make something clearer.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,
Thank you for quick your reply

I think I understand your explanations… but,
but in that case why these approachs are available for PMDG aircrafts (I have tried it with the B748 and it works fine) and not PSS aircrafts (tried on their very good B777)

After that I check the PMDG file “PMDG \SIDSTARS\ SLLP.txt”, and I found exactly the data entered in the FMC : For the final approach I used, this was the datas for the LOCY10 (chart 11-2 / ILS Y Rwy 10) where my transition was KIBUX :

APPROACH LOCY10 FIX CI10 AT OR ABOVE 15000 FIX FI10 15000 FIX PAZ 13497 RNW 10 TRK 100 UNTIL 13720 FIX D181T AT OR ABOVE 17000 HOLD AT FIX D181T LEFT TURN INBOUNDCOURSE 001 ALT 17000 LEGTIME 1

TRANSITION TEGUM FIX TEGUM FIX D235J FIX AF015 FIX AF016 FIX D266H AT OR ABOVE 16000

I know their data format in their respective file is very different, but that doesn’t explain everything

Regards,
Claude

Hi Claude,
now you are speaking from approaches and not arrivals as you mentioned in your topic and initial posting.

The PSS format doesn’t support approaches and therefore ALL approaches on all airports are missing. The PSS format only support SIDs and STARs.

On the other hand: PMDG supports approaches and therefore they are included.

But again, that has nothing todo with SLLP. PSS has never supported approaches incl transitions.

Hope that helps
Richard
