Missing some VORs around Boston

I recently posted this issue on the MSFS forums, but I wanted to post here too since Navigraph seems to change the behavior of the issue, and because everyone here knows the ins and outs of how navdata is handled by FS2024.

The short of it is, some VORs around the Boston area are not showing in the EFB for me, and they also don’t seem to exist while flying – if I tune to their frequencies in range, I get no signal. They also don’t appear in the EFB search. Among the VORs affected are BOS, ACK and MVY. Other VORs in the area, such as GDM, appear in the EFB and work fine in flight. You can see the MSFS forum post for screenshots of the problem.

The crazy thing is that this problem has persisted across a reinstall of Windows and a completely fresh install of FS2024 without any addons.

Since that, I tried installing Navigraph AIRAC 2502 rev 1 and strangely even more VORs from the area disappeared – not only were BOS, ACK and MVY missing, but also MHT and GDM and some ILS frequencies into KBOS wouldn’t get a signal.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? I see on these forums that load order of navdata can result in some missing NAVAIDs, but this problem exists even without Navigraph data installed. And if Navigraph is installed, shouldn’t it overwrite all navdata anyway? It’s a very confusing problem.

Thank you!
