Missing Frequencies on flight planner

Hi,
Having an issue where MSFS doesn’t show frequencies on free-flight page and loses ATIS and Clearance frequencies when in flight - ground is the first frequency it finds. I have taken out the latest Airac Cycle 2508 rev.3, packages “Navigraph-Nav-Data” and “Navigraph-Nav-Jepp” from the community folder and everything works again.

Screenshots show with the 23 above packages in the community folder (no frequencies) and without the packages in the folder (all frequencies). Tested at both Third Party and stock airports.

This has only happened since updating to Rev.3 and cannot download a previous revision as use Navigraph Hub.

SOLVED

Played around and found out that “Navigraph-Nav-Jepp” needs to be higher in priority to “Navigraph-Nav-Data” in Packager order

Hi…,

Thank you for the update. Glad it is resolved.

cheers

Ian

Hi,
The central question is, why have you re-ordered the packages? It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED not to re-order any navdata packages to avoid any issue with 3rd party sceneries or the stock data behind.

Since SU3 does not require re-ordering for the navdata packages, you should generally avoid it to get such strange results.

A recommendation from my side:
Delete your content.xml file - it will be re-created with the next sim start:

You will find the content.xml file here (attention, the location is changed since SU3 - it´s now in a sub-folder, with your xbox-game-tag-id):

Sim from Marketplace:
%localAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\<your game tag id>

Sim from Steam:
%appData%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\<your game tag id>

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,

I tried your recommendations and once deleting the content file and letting the sim reload, the same error occurs - again, no frequencies showing at the airports.

Any other suggestions?

Hi,
Any chance that you can upload your content.xml file here, please?

Thank you,
Richard

Hi Richard,
No problem - please find attached.
I have unistalled Navigraph, ran the sim, reinstalled Navigraph.
1st try - with clear community folder and only Navigraph, frequencies appear
2nd try with full community folders, frequencies dissapear (content.xml attached

Content.xml (169.6 KB)

)

I also use MSFS AddonsLinker and when I re-enabled all my scenery, they all were gone again. Do you think it could be something conflicting?

Thanks

Hi,
Thank you very much. It looks like a scenery is not entirely SU3 compatible, and therefore, it " overrules" our packages. There were many changes in SU3 regarding the loading order of the packages, and every package must (or should) use order-hint information in the scenery so that the sim “understands” which package should be loaded when (ex., that the sceneries should be loaded first, then the navdata, …).

That’s why you see the frequency without any third-party scenery installed. I can´t say which package is faulty, but one or more packages seem not to be fully SU3 compatible.

The only way to find this out is by “trial and error.” Move or enable each package and see if you see the frequencies. It is 100% a package issue. Sorry, I don´t have any better news for you or a fast solution.

Cheers,
Richard
