Missing charts for airfield

Why can I not see charts for my local airfield on my iPad but the same airfield on a Garmin in the A2A Comanche shows the chart?

Hi…,

Welcome.

Whilst Navigraph provides charts for thousands of airports, at this time the coverage does not include EGCB.

The chart you see is likely provided by the A2A Comanche addon.

That’s strange as I’m using the PMS5 GTN750 add-on on the Xbox in the A2A Comanche but I can recreate this using the GTN750 in other aircraft (including stock MS aircraft), according to PMS5, their GTN750 will only show charts from a Navigraph subscription.

Hi Team,

We plan to support EGCB from the next app update.

I’ve just spoken to PSM5 on their Discord and for FS2020 they say they only pickup the charts from Navigraph. I’m using Xbox and FS2020 so wry strange. See their response here.

edit: it’s hard to see from the screen shot but the red writing at the bottom of the chart say Navigraph charts intended for flight simulation only. So it is your chart for EGBC even though your app can’t display it, the 3rd party Garmin unit can.

Yes we see that and are investigating.

It might help if you were able to provide a high-resolution screenshot of the chart as shown on the GTN in your simulator?

Like this but maybe use the In/Out buttons to zoom to e.g. the top-left or top-right of the chart where the labels are?

Tim

Hi guys.

We are planning to add these charts, which are Jeppesen VFR charts, to our apps and APIs very soon. The API used by PMS GTN750 accidentally included these charts already now. We deemed this current inconsistency will cause lots of confusion now since these charts are not available in our own apps yet. We have now fixed this on our end, meaning these charts would disappear from PMS GTN750 until we roll them out on all platforms. Sorry for the inconvenience and confusion. Hold out a little while longer, and await the official release soon!

Cheers,

Stephen
