Hi. I was wondering if you guys can please allow us to change from automatic to manually choosing a flex temperature for takeoff performance calculation?
Reason I ask is that I have my own personal limits for margins and sometimes the automatically calculated flex temperature causes the margin to be like 2ft below my limits, so instead of having to change flap setting etc, I would like to just choose a different flex temperature, to meet my takeoff margin minimums.

Hi, you can do this by disabling flex and manually setting a high OAT.
Setting the OAT to match the flex temperature will give the exact same performance numbers (this is how the flex concept works in the end). By extension, reducing the OAT by a few degrees will increase your margins.

Make sure you disable the Flex option when doing this, otherwise it’ll still bump to the max flex temperature and reducing the OAT will have no effect.
