Since last week, LTFJ and LTBJ got new sceneries for MSFS 2024 so people are started to fly more. According to latest RAD updates I am trying to create separated north-south flow but People sometimes using invalid routes generated by Simbrief. My question is; is there a way to prevent Simbrief to generate these type of routes because I already submitted the route they must fly. Below you can find the separation between
Istanbul TMA and LTBJ/LTFE.
The new routes, e.g. IVGUS UM19/M19 UNSAL are not valid for airac cycle 2403, so people without a Navigraph subscription will get different routes.
Most likely you reporting all the old routes gives even worse results with cycle 2403, for example the following comes up as the top route for LTFM → LTBJ with cycle 2403:
People with an active Navigraph subscription will get the preferred route. There is nothing more you can do, as far as I can tell. 99% of the other routes that will pop up will come from users without a subscription trying to come up with route that works for their cycle.
Or are you saying IVGUS UM19/M19 UNSAL is the invalid one? I asked for an example of a valid route and an invalid one, and you provided one example per city pair without telling if it’s a valid or invalid route; so now re-reading your post I have no idea…
That’s the top route wherever you added it. That’s as much as you can do. In addition to people on the old cycle, there’s also some people who will get their route from edi-gla, their virtual airline, or the aeronav association database and enter them manually.
As Derek pointed out in another topic, Simbrief is not the route police. You’ve added the valid routes, marked them as CFMU valid, and now they’re the top route given by default for e.g. LTFJ → LTBJ and so on.
99% of users will use this route, and of the other 1% of users who don’t, some will file a different route on VATSIM/IVAO and may need to be re-routed by a controller. That’s still much better than having to re-route everyone.
Also, for e.g. LTFJ → LTBJ, there’s currently another route that was planned by a user and passes CFMU validation:
Thank you for the update. Normally you can’t fly direct unless it is stated in RAD 3B. Since the rolling RAD is out, I realize that I can’t be fast enough to check every new DCT’s available. It used to be not able to fly via ROXUK since 2405 and they publish a DCT option for it on 27th May.
I guess we can’t do better than checking people’s route then update from Simbrief. Eventhough, they have other resources as you said %99 of the people using Simbrief.
