What I found useful to activate the missing stall warning in lesson 5 (MSFS 2024): Go to āSETTINGS - GENERAL - SOUND - Volume Levels - Musicā and turn music volume ON (I had it turned OFF before!). (Inspired by a post from Eran-Navigraph at Flight Simulator Forum).
Thanks for the suggestion, and if that does enable the stall warning, GG Asobo

Wonderful lesson plans!! Thank you! Like other, I am struggling to pass the Stalls and Dive. I pass everything but the Non-straight stall. The system isnāt recognizing the turn. IDK if iām doing it wrong. I tried different directions and turn b4 stall and turn while in stall. Please advise. Thanks. Paul
Regarding Stall warning, please try the following:
Click escape and go to the menu AFTER you have spawned in on the lesson, then go back in game again via resume, the stall warning should work. This must be done on every load in to the lesson. You must also ensure they have āWarningsā sound setting to 100% in the sound settings.
Cheers

About Lesson 5 difficulties. I submitted an earlier comment to another category, so I am submitting this copy of my earlier comment on Stalls and Dive which might help some students on this rather frustrating lesson, but which I finally learned how to master:
āā¦..Furthermore, I had to repeat Lesson 5 numerous times before passing. My problem was not being unable to perform a requirement, but that I was not certain what I was being asked to do. Here are two examples: 1) I had trouble determining when the incipient stall ended and the real stall began, i.e. VS1. There was no mention of VS1 in the video, and after I did some research of my own I finally figured out what speed I had to reach to satisfy the required real stall, and ignore the warnings from the cockpit AI. In other words, I had to drop V to 44 knots, and not just 48 knots. 2) Turning Stall: the Briefing said to begin a power-off turning descent, and then stall (meaning a real stall, but not specified). I spent many hours trying to combine the descent and the stall, until finally learning by trial and error that I needed to first bank at cruise altitude, and THEN stall by reducing power to idle. Whew!. Once I got that, the lesson was passed after about 15 earlier attempts. ā
Hello, I have a problem with the Non Straight Stalls. I have already done several times this manouvre, but allways is the respons: Incomplete. Just like a have done nothing. Any suggestions? or is this a bug?
Hi!
Could you send me the links to the flights where you are experiencing this issue? And I will take a closer look. You can simply paste the links to the stat pages here or send them as a DM.
Be aware that a non-straight stall is one which occurs in a turn. Thus, first enter a turn, then reduce power to idle. Maintain altitude until stall warning occurs, then recover. If this does not register as a non straight stall, I would love to take a closer look and see why we are not detecting properly.
Hello,
Thanks a lot for the feedback. I have forwarded this to the Academy team, regarding the turbulence.
Can you check your account again, please. You should not be seeing a lesson status āincompleteā any longer.
Hi Ruddy,
With regards to the turbulence: No, that is not intended. We have selected calm weather in the simulator for all lessons. However, there is a realism setting regarding turbulence which may produce the effect regardelss of weather in the game. If you find the turbulence too challenging you can set turbulence to off in the settings.
I apologize for the missing information saying āincompleteā. However, this means that our system simply did not detect any non-straight stalls. I will investigate why this is happening and try to get back to you ASAP. We may have a fault in our detection mechanism.
Best Regards
Martin
Unfortunately, I still see āIncomplete
We are looking into this issue at the moment.
In the meantime, could you take a screenshot of the āincompleteā status, please? That would be quite helpful.
Thanks
Thanks a lot for that, this has been forwarded to development.
I have passed all parts of Lesson 5 āStalls and Dive to Max Speedā in two separate flights. However, the lesson still shows in progress. This first became apparent when I clicked on the āGo to Lessonā button after reviewing the successful flight and it took me back to lesson 5. Going to the main list of lessons, it showed lesson 5 in progress still. So, I did the flight test again, passed it again, and it still shows in progress after a successful completion.
Here are my successful flights:
Flight 11
Flight 12
Hereās the page where I see that lession 5 is still in progress:
How do I advance to lesson 6? I donāt want to keep trying and passing lesson 5.
Hello,
Can you check lesson 5 again, please, it should now be showing normally.
It does now show passed. Thank you. Do I just need to wait longer or is there something that I should do to make the system grant the passed status better in the future?
Thats great to here, thanks for the feedback.
The issue is a bug that developers are currently in the middle of fixing.
Thank you. Iām glad to hear they are working on it.
Iām not sure if itās something I did different during the initial lesson 5 flight, but Iāll offer this. There are 4 parts to that flight. After about each of them, I hit escape (once) to pause the flight. Various things in life like having to go to the restroom or have lunch happened during these pauses. When I returned, Iād resume the flight and then do the next part. I over achieved that first flight and made sure I did everything multiple times. However, it was over two to three hours (including the lunch break). When I finished, I was dismayed to realize that the only part that had been captured was after my last pause. Iām thinking itās not safe to pause during one of these flight tests now. Maybe that set me up for failure as the next two flights didnāt register completion.
Iām just providing this information as it may help your developers understand what might be happening.
Thanks again and Iām enjoying the training.
Joe
We will have a look into this and will get back to you asap
