Lesson 1 not registered as done

Hello,

My first lesson progresses from **Starting the Lesson to Lesson in Progress but not to Flight Debrief after I end the flight. Simlink is running the latest version 1.1.40.1707, I’ve tried reinstalling and signing in again. Navigraph Charts shows me at the correct position. I’ve tried it three times now and getting the same result.

Hello,

Make sure that you complete the lesson until the very end. Once you have completed the lesson according to the pre flight briefing instructions, the lesson will have a successful recording and will update your Academy profile.

The very first lesson clearly states “There is no passing criteria on this lesson. Launch the lesson to complete it.” in the briefing so shouldn’t the lesson complete after I’ve started it and hit “End flight” in the sim? I let a few minutes pass before hitting “End flight” and it did register “Lesson in Progress” but not “Flight Debrief”.

Have you tried the lesson again?

Again, once you have competed the in-game lesson. Test out the controls configuration and camera keybinds. Everything is described in the lesson introduction in-sim. Its important to understand that lessons can fail if you quit the flight too soon.

This is good feedback, though, I will raise this with the Academy team this week.

I tried it three times, did all the controls checks, camera, waited around for a few minutes and then ended the flight, still it does not register as being completed.

Strange!

Can you send the Simlink logs, please

  1. Open Simlink
  2. Select the Logs tab
  3. Press the Open log folder button in the bottom right
  4. In the window that opens, find the latest modified file and upload it to your next post here.

No problem, here is a log from today, the web page went from “Starting the Lesson” to “
Lesson in Progress” and back to “Starting the Lesson” again after I ended the flight in the sim.

Also, to add to these checks:

  • Make sure you are logging into Simlink with the correct account
  • Check your anti-virus / computer protection, make sure this is not blocking
  • It might be obvious but make sure Simlink is running on the same computer as MSFS

Did you manage to find a fix for this? I’m now facing the same issue too :frowning:

Can you make absolutely sure you are remain in the simulator for a minimum of 60 seconds. The lesson recorder requires this. If you don’t stay in the lesson for that minimum time, there will be a failure to record and you will see “incomplete” or “aborted” on the lesson status afterwards.
