In this lesson, you’ll take your first steps into true instrument-only flying. We’ll learn how to transition from visual flying to flying solely by reference to instruments, and you’ll begin developing the foundational skill that all instrument pilots rely on: the T-scan.

For some reason, the flight data is not recording. I wait for the data to arrive but never shows up. I had no problems with the first course. All of my flight recorded and I was able to get the feed back. Nothing this time… I also tried to go back to the first course and repeat a flight. The data is not recording. I wonder what I am doing wrong.

I am doing the 1st lesson test. My data is now showing up, but on the first Activity - Turns in Level Flight I keep getting Incomplete. I am doing at least 180 degrees each time but I get no gtraphic to show what I did and just an Incomplete. The other 3 activities I am getting Passed and Failed along with graphics showing what I was doing. I wonder what I am doing wrong with the Turns to keep getting Incomplete.

Hi…,

Check you are logged into Simlink with your subscribed account details, and see the moving reading in Simlink Status, accessed via the icon (near System Tray - Windows Clock). You can right mouse click that and quit/relogin to be sure you are logged into Simlink correctly)

I am able to pass three out of the four objectives… but on the turn, I get an incomplete. I know I have made at least two 360 degree turns… It does not evaluate the turn, just says incomplete. If it is grading me on three of the items and I am getting a Pass, I should be logged into Simlink, right?

Do I have to move the heading bug before starting the turn??

We see your flight graphics, so Simlink is working. We shall investigate why the analysis with feedback isn’t being triggered.

I’m getting the analysis with feedback on all but the turn. It seems like it is not recognizing I have made any turns. I’ve tried the turns at the beginning and later in the flight… still says Incomplete for the turns.

Why am I constantly getting incomplete for the descent? Passed everything else in latest attempt

If you see an “incomplete”, it means that part of the lesson failed to record. 99% of the time this will be that the Academy system was unable to determine the maneuver eg.

  • You were too slow in the turn/climb/level flight
  • Your rate of descent was to great/too little

Etc.

Please make sure that you follow the guidelines of the lesson completely. Review the course material/video if in doubt.
