I have the latest Airac installed on X-plane 12, I noticed that my instrument approaches to these runways puts me 4-5ft of center of the runway. It is pretty consistent even with an older Airac. Naviaid object is placed on runway 10L/28R. X-Plane support says it is due to Airac data placing the object there.
Hi,
I have checked the X-Plane 12 data with our source and the original FAA data. In all three cases, the values are identical.
Here, what you are using in X-Plane 12 (from our source):
4 37.627075000 -122.394977778 8 10955 18 102537.913 ISFO KSFO K2 28L ILS-cat-II
Here, the ILS data (ident: ISFO) directly from the FAA database:
When you now compare the coordinates:
X-Plane 12 (from our source) data: 37.627075000 -122.394977778
FAA: 37.627075, -122.3949777
When you enter these coordinates in Google Maps, the position looks good, but of course, you don´t really see a 5 ft offset in such an image. Anyway, the coordinates for the ILS antenna are correct according to the FAA, so I can´t see any issue here.
Cheers,
Richard
Maybe the scenery is not correct? 28R is cat3 which should be on center line. Without a crosswind, results the same lining up and landing just left of centerline. X-plane support sent me here after reporting the antenna on the runway. It was like this with the default Airac that came with XP.
Hi again,
no idea about the scenery. What we can compare are only the data, and the data are correct between our data provider (source for building the XP12 data) and the FAA, sorry.
Cheers,
Richard
