J1 w/out aircraft address

Some custom airframes (including the official FSLabs ones, apparently – although that may be because the default A21N base profile has the same issue) specify J1 in the equipment but do not provide a Mode-S code to go along with it.

This causes issue when attempting to CFMU validate the flight plan:

PROF204: RS: TRAFFIC VIA EUCPDLC IS ON FORBIDDEN ROUTE REF:[EUCPDLC01A] AIRCRAFT ADDRESS MANDATORY WHEN J1

Could something de done about it for convenience, i.e. when J1 is present but no Mode-S exists in the airframe, have Simbrief generate a random Mode-S code (at least in the various IFPS validation dialogs on /options/latest and /briefing/latest pages)?

Hi Tim,

This was already handled on the options page by automatically adding CODE/123456 (at least when clicking the IFPS validation button in the “Route” section).

I’ve now added handling for this to the Calculate and Compare feature as well as when generating the actual flight plan. But instead of generating a random code, it will simply remove J1 if a valid code is not provided (which somehow seems more “correct” to me).

Best regards,

That works too, maybe the options page should do the same for consistency?

Thanks,

Tim
